Digital Cinema Workshop
July 8-9, 2021, 9:00am-4:00pm

Calling all aspiring actors, directors, producers, or those interested in learning more about what happens behind the scenes on a movie production set!

Students entering 6th-8th grade are invited to join us July 8-9th on the OCCC campus for a FREE 2-day workshop.

Overview
Led by members of the OCCC Digital Cinema Production Department and the Film Education Institute of Oklahoma (FEIO), this 2-day workshop will teach students entering 6th-8th grade the basics of digital cinematography.

On Day One, participants will learn about pre-production, crew positions, and safe equipment handling. Participants will be assigned a crew role that they will fill throughout the 2-day workshop.

On Day Two, participants will assist in the production of a screenplay including set up and filming as well as editing. Participants will learn more about the Digital Cinema Production program at OCCC as well as hear from members of the local film industry.

Registration and Cost
This program is FREE thanks to the generous support of donors and sponsors of the Film Education Institute and the STEAM Engine. Participation is limited to the first 15 participants to register on a first-come-first-served basis. The STEAM Engine will maintain a waiting list for additional participants. The STEAM Engine will provide confirmation via email about your registration status.

Cancellations & No Shows
In the event that you are unable to attend the workshop, we request at least 72-hours written notice so that the slot can be released to the next student on the waitlist. In the event of a no-show (without notice), the STEAM Engine reserves the right to limit participation/enrollment in future programs.
