Community Impact and Outreach

Initiative: Youth Programs & Outreach
Sponsorship Type: Promotional
Impact: 300 students enrolled in weekly After-School STEAM programs and more than 1000 students and 5000 adults reached through promotional activities and outreach events

Make an investment in the mission of the STEAM Engine by becoming an Annual Community Impact & Outreach Sponsor. Annual Sponsors are the backbone of our nonprofit organization. When you become an Annual Sponsor, you are joining the movement to connect hands-on elementary and middle-school STEM Education directly to Workforce Development efforts across the state of Oklahoma.

Expanded Learning and Educator Summit

Iniative: Professional Development
Sponsorship Type: Event
Impact: 100+ classroom and community educators sharing best practices to take back to their classrooms and after-school programs, impacting more than 5000 students.

The STEAM Engine’s Expanded Learning and Educator Summit (SEELES) second annual Professional Development Event will bring together more than 100 stakeholders including STEAM Engine staff, community partners,  and community educators in a 2-day workshop to listen to speakers working at the intersection of:

• STEM/Arts Education,
• The Maker Movement,
• College and Career Readiness,
• Workforce Development,
• Instructional practices in Expanded Learning,
• Trauma-informed teaching
• Play- and project-based learning,
• Parent Engagement Strategies.

In addition to the benefits included below, your sponsorship dollars will help provide this event FREE OF CHARGE. In addition to the PD credits, resources, and swag, attendees will be eligible to receive a $100 stipend.

STEAM Career Showcase

Initiative: ​Family Engagement

Impact: 100 families spending 3-4 hours engaging with 75+ STEAM professionals at 25 booths in a hands-on Career Exploration Event

The STEAM Engine invites you to be part of our 3nd Annual STEAM Career Showcase, an informational “career fair” style event highlighting educational paths and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEM) for 3rd-8th grade students and their parents through hands-on activities related to career pathways.

State of STEAM Quarterly Breakfasts

Initiative: Ecosystem Building
Sponsorship Type: Event Series
Impact: 75-100 community and industry leaders convene quarterly to learn and align efforts. Event proceeds support Youth Programs.

​Join Leaders, Companies and Organizations from across Oklahoma as we convene to discuss matters at the intersection of economic development, workforce development, PK-20 Education, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Hear from panelists about innovative programs aimed to address these multifaceted issues and participate in conversations that will help align resources across our state. Average attendance at this series in 2023 was 75 people. Ticket prices will be reduced from $100 to $50 in 2024 to reduce barriers to participation.

STEMware: The Art of the Pour

Initiative: Resource Development
Sponsorship Type: Event
Impact: 100+ adults, 21 and older, gathered to learn about the art and science behind winetasting while networking and supporting the STEAM Engine

Join the STEAM Engine for STEMware: the Art of the Pour, as we gather together over good food and wine to feed our heart, mind and soul, as we combat the winter blues with fellowship.

Doors open at 6:00.

Guests are invited to network and visit tables stationed around the room to experience a sampling of the hands-on activities that the STEAM Engine features in their after-school programs. Next, guided by a Sommelier, guests will sample five wines (two whites, two reds, and a sparkling) alongside perfectly matched morsels to enhance the flavor of the wine. 
Finally, guests are treated to heavy hors d’oeuvres and two drink tickets to enjoy a full glass of your favorite(s) from the tasting.

Volun-BEER

Initiative: Volunteering
Sponsorship Type: Event Series
Impact: Monthly volunteer event to support the packaging of 1200+ student kits for use in STEAM Engine’s after-school programs. 

Join fellow STEAM supporters each month to help prepare Program Materials to serve more than 300 elementary and middle-school students across the OKC Metro in 2024. These kits offer students hands-on projects to build confidence, self-esteem, and 21st Century skills to help them see themselves with a future in STEM.

Each month, volunteers will help receive, open, sort, count, package, and organize materials for instructors and students. Activities commonly include counting individual items and putting them in plastic bags or boxes. All activities can be performed while sitting down or with minimal lifting and walking.

Companies, Organizations, Families, and Individuals are welcome to attend.

• Children between the ages of 7-15 are welcome with a chaperone over the age of 18 (we request a child to adult ratio of no more than 3:1)
• Youth ages 16-17 are welcome as long as they bring a signed liability waiver from a parent/guardian.

Employee Engagement & Corporate Volunteering

Initiative: Ecosystem Building

Impact: An engaged workforce that’s generating resources and support to provide STEAM programs to more than 300 students in the OKC metro.

We know that companies are looking for meaningful ways to benefit the community while engaging your employees. With our Employee Engagement and Corporate Volunteering opportunities, we bring the events to you. With these opportunities, you can engage your staff, your industry, and even your families.

Looking to engage your employees in a more tangible way, but struggling to get folks out of the office?

No problem! With these opportunities, we bring the Volunteering to you.

By January 2024, we expect to have more than 20 STEAM Trunks circulating throughout the OKC metro. Working with 300+ kids per week, we go through a lot of materials. Host a 2-week workplace supply drive or help assemble materials at your office to engage your staff (and community) in the process.
