OERB Fossils to Fuel Virtual Day Camp
June 14-17, 2021, 90-minute Zooms at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm
Overview
Led by instructors from the STEAM Engine, and joined by professionals working in Oklahoma's oil and natural gas industry, this virtual day camp will teach students entering 4th-5th grade the basics about fossils fuels and their importance to Oklahoma. Participants will receive their very own camp-in-a-box kit containing all the materials needed to complete hands-on activities, experiments, and demonstrations alongside instructors presenting via Zoom (one session in the morning and one in the afternoon). Zoom calls will last 60-90 minutes depending on participation. Registration and Cost
This program is FREE thanks to the generous support of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board. Participation is limited to the first 12 participants to register on a first-come-first-served basis. The STEAM Engine will maintain a waiting list for additional participants. The STEAM Engine will provide confirmation via email about your registration status. Cancellations & No Shows We know that summer plans can change. In the event that you are unable to participate in the virtual day camp, we request at least 72-hours written notice so that the slot can be released to the next student on the waitlist.
