CALL FOR PRESENTERS
The following is a call for speakers/presenters, open to all STEM, Arts, out-of-school time (OST), child development, and education stakeholders, including PK-12 educators and administrators, higher education faculty and students, and those representing nonprofit organizations, government agencies and other STEM groups. |
IMPORTANT DATES
- (Deadline extended due to Weather) February 19, 2023 (midnight): Deadline to submit Proposal
- March 3, 2023 (5:00 pm): Deadline for presenters to be notified
- March 17, 2023 (5:00 pm): Deadline for presenters to confirm and submit Speaker Agreement
- March 31, 2023 (5:00 pm): Deadline for presenters to “claim” free registration for the Summit (after which, registration will open to Community Partners)
- June 16, 2023 (5:00 pm): Deadline for Community Partners to Register (after which, registration will open to public on a first come, first-served basis)
- June 30, 2023 (5:00 pm): Deadline to upload slides and/or other materials to be made available on the conference website.
- July 19-20th, 2023: Learning Summit in-person in Oklahoma City
REGISTRATION FOR PRESENTERS
If your Proposal is approved, each person (up to 3) who will participate in your presentation will be eligible to register for the entire Learning Summit.
SPEAKER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high quality educational presentations.
- Engage attendees through audience participation and discussion.
- Coordinate with staff regarding any special equipment needs.
- Ensure the session is educational and not a sales pitch
- Promote your participation in the event on your social media sites.
- Provide own printed pieces and/or promotional collateral to attendees

The STEAM Engine is seeking presenters in 8 broad categories in order to provide a well-rounded experience for attendees. Priority will be given to local (Oklahoma-based) speakers in order to elevate the voices of those doing the work in our communities. Categories and sample session titles* are included below. Presenters are asked to share resources and best-practices in one (or more) of the following categories:
